At Sunrise, our favorite time is when we

come

together!

Our physical

meet-ups

take a family fun day kind of approach where we all come together (parents, learners, teachers, management and friends), let our hair down and have fun!

This happens twice a semester and the activities range from sports, cultural days, talent shows and any other fun and educational activity depending on the season.

Mini Meetups

Our mini

meet-ups

are designed to have learners in each class get to meet physically and gel. These take a “have fun while you learn” approach. The activities vary depending on the level of learners and the content they are covering at that particular season and they are more frequent than the main

meet-ups.

Hangouts

‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.’

Our children are taught to create and foster social communities amongst themselves to grow their social capital. At Sunrise we have hangouts sessions as the last class every Friday. A hangout lesson is where they come together as peers and their interaction is well monitored by a teacher.

Talent Shows

We believe strongly in growing our learners' gifts and talents and what better way than to have our learners show case this to their school family which in turn encourages them to grow and sharpen their skills. Talent shows take a community approach where the whole community gathers to cheer our own. They are normally virtual to enable our global community to take part

Assemblies and Themed Weeks

Our weeks are thematic. The class in charge leads the weekly assemblies

and picks

out our weekly theme, icon, and quote of the week. They research together, make presentations,

and inspire the school

to run with it through the week.

Culture Shows

The Sunrise family is drawn from different cultures and in a quest to nurture global citizens we let our learners interact and learn about other cultures through shows where they all research and make colorful presentations of the same.
